Coming Soon: New Series

Hello all you wonderful humans!

I've been working hard since the release of Shift to bring you a new and exciting universe filled with epic space-battles, characters you love to hate - others you'll hate to love,  subterfuge, complex relationships, and a bit of romance.

Welcome to the world of the As We Rise series. This series stars three amazing women who will shine in their own novels all within the As We Rise universe. Each book will have to be read in order for the story to make sense. You will see all three woman in each book, but their roles will change throughout the series.

The universe of As We Rise is vast and complicated; as are all the characters. I am glad I chose to skip my previously planned series and dive into this instead. As of right now, there are three books planned. I don't have any intention of writing more, but you never know if I feel inspired to expound on this universe.

As We Rise: Rogue

It's been 48 days since Jo Cygni's father died, leaving her the CS Kismet and its crew of space-born misfits.  Despite a lifetime of preparation, Jo never thought she would captain her own ship before her 21st birthday.

Broke and determined to prove she is worthy of command, Jo pushes aside her political concerns and accepts a commission from the Galactic Consulate.

The job? Launch a load of sealed crates into a nearby star.
The catch?  Don't open the containers

What I've been reading

I honestly thought this would end up being a romance in the typical sense - the blurb teases. However, there's so much depth to this book that it's almost impossible for me to explain why I love this series so much without major spoilers. I promise that you will love Bit as a heroine.

I just started this series, but I'm excited to see how it ends. It has (almost) everything I love - Space battles, cyborgs, military intrigue, suspense, and an amazing cast of characters. In the future installments I hope there's a romantic arc somewhere in the story, but if not - I think I'll be okay with it! :D

Hello wonderful people. So sorry it's been a while. Summer has been in full swing over here.  I've been spending most of my free time wrapping up the first draft of Bound and have been elbow deep in copy edits.

I have been working with Kari from Cover to Cover Designs with the cover for Bound and I'm just about ready to release it out to the world, but as of right now I'll leave this teaser image right over here.

Hello all you beautiful people!

I've been scouring the Internet for all things Pluto. How could you not after seeing Pluto's big heart? I've been showing my kids pictures and telling them how New Horizons launched before they were born. My daughter, being the sassy two year old was indifferent. But my son has been excited to learn more. He's got a invested interest in space since he want's to be a space engineer. When I showed him this picture, he asked why the planet has giant heart cutie mark. Bless his little heart.

My generation has collectively been on a roller coaster ride of emotions involving Pluto. We will always regard it as the ninth planet. How else would "My Very Excellent Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizza's"? I just can't think of a mnemonic that would work with just 8 planets, or at least one as awesome.

It amazes me how humanity is starting it's expansion into space and I wonder how advanced our technology will become in the next few years. Hopefully by the time my 4 year old officially becomes a space engineer, he will be able to build a human colony on Mars or be involved in the creation of a spaceship that takes human's on a deep space mission Star Trek style.

Stay Awesome!
